We provide free Eye Camps, in which with the help of a team of Doctors from Mumbai, perform IOL(Intra Ocular Lens Transplant) operations for local people. IOLs eliminate the need for thick glasses after the cataract is removed. The patients are usually kept for 3 days: After the camp is over, we have 3 follow ups, 1st after one week, 2nd after one month and 3rd after two months. At the 3rd follow up we provide the patients with free numbered spectacles.

The TATA Mumbai Marathon
Our ultimate goal is to make sure that all the people with cataract recieve proper treatment and care. By participating in the marathon, we want to spread awareness among people about the effects of cataract and why it should not be neglected.
Can you imagine living for a day with a blind fold over your eyes? Difficult?
Impossible??? Now imagine living that way for a week. For a month. A year.
A lifetime!! Now imagine living that way EVEN if you did not have to!!!
It's a sad truth that most of the blind people in our country can be cured of their blindness. Cataract is the major cause of partial/complete blindness in India. And yet curing it just requires a simple operation. Unfortunately the facilities for such an operation are extremely limited especially in the rural parts of our country.
It is to overcome this gap that we, the members of I Care Charitable Trust are holding our Annual Eye Camps to perform Intra Ocular Lens (IOL) Transplant Operations for the rural poor. where the patients would be operated upon by a team of highly qualified surgeons.
The camp is completely free for the patients, who along with one relative are provided with nutritious food throughout the camp. We follow up with two visits after the camp and in the third visit we provide them with free numbered spectacles.
We appeal to you to support us in this endeavor, by contributing towards our fund raising.
All contributions are eligible for deduction u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Your contribution big or small would go a long way in lightning up the life of many elderly underprivileged Indians. Help them see this beautiful world again!!
With warm regards,
For I Care Charitable Trust
